My intention as a yoga instuctor is to invite a safe, non-judgemental environment for all bodies. Even if you have never practiced yoga, you have your breath and your body — which is all that is required.

As a person in recovery from both addiction and trauma, my wish is to create a welcoming space for all walks of life interested in yoga as another tool in your toolbox for healing

Yoga is an ancient framework that can be accessed by all. Yoga is a guided exploration of the self, and can be a profound tool to help us rediscover our wholeness as human beings.  Our ability to feel ‘whole’ can seem barricaded by the reality of living; suffering.

The promise of having a pulse has a caveat of suffering. Suffering exists uniquely for each being.  We carry the burden of trauma in our bodies sometimes unbeknownst to us. Yoga can be an addition to your healing journey to release, recognize, and adapt to the pain you hold.

The word Yoga is translated from a sanskrit root meaning “to join” or “union”.

We are each united by both joy and sorrow. Our lives contain glimpses of utter bliss as well as heartache.

We may delay, downplay, or attempt to escape the parts of our lives that hurt - and solely chase pleasure.

However, what we resist, persists
